I could use one of these right now
All right, being sick really sucks. It's different when I WANT to be sick. But right now I'm not digging it. For one, it's the second week of my Senior year. We're getting started on the curriculum, missing school at the beginning will potentially put me too far behind, therefore I went to school sick. Not only that, I WALKED to school. What the hell was I thinking. Not only do I live in freaking Arizona, I live in one of the driest parts of Arizona, and according to Google, it's 106ยบ outside. I walked the 25 minute walk to school, IN THAT, while sick. It had to of been the Anefrin I OD'd on that morning due to being unable to breathe through my nose.
Anyway, I made it to school unscathed, with only my conscience (which has since aged 7 hours and become much, much wiser) to question.
Later, in my English class, I was given information on the possibilities of my Senior year, something I had been curious about. I have no plans to go to a university, rather to go to a community college and get my core stuff out of the way while I figure out what my place is in life. I have to take my Senior picture by the 1st of October, which hopefully will happen soon because I wish to give my grandma the biggest portrait we get as a late birthday present (she LOVES that kind of stuff). Also, I saw the tuition on nearby Arizona universities, and to clarify on my earlier point of why I won't go to a university right away: Oh my GOD.

Seriously, fuck you
I'm pretty vocal about my situation. I won't be able to pay for college on my own and neither will my mom. I'll need financial help. But since I was dumb and screwed around my first two years of high school (Bs and Cs, mostly, no Fs), I probably won't be getting a full-ride scholarship to anywhere. There's a huge plus side to this though. My parents aren't together, my financial situation is in shambles, I'm white, I'm tall, and (right now), I have really nice grades. I'll probably be able to pay my way through two years at a community college without having to pay anything back.
I was going to end the blog here, but I just thought of something, how ridiculous college in America really is. Now, look, I'm no partier, I don't like to be in huge crowds of people shouting, dancing, and any other verb that involves normal interaction. I'm more of the hold a wine glass and talk to people about why my cat is so divine type of guy.

Quite.
I was at ASU in April for this Mars project I had to present to NASA scientists (I'll leave that for when it's relevant). I was severely thrown off by the campus life. People riding bikes, scooters, skateboards, fucking segways to classes. A farmer's market, sororities showing off, and not only that, it happened to be April 20th, and if you have a life, you know what that date means. Protesters were off the damn wall about why marijuana is so bad. Go to my high school, and do that stuff, then you'll get run over by golf carts.
University life doesn't suit me, and when I end up going to a university after my Associate's degree, I'll probably live off campus, far, far off campus. It's too expensive anyway, I want a job, a car, a place of my own, etc, before I go to a university. Community college can be viewed as an extension to high school, and to put it shortly: I wish I were a Freshman still.
Whatever, a few of my friends just left Peoria to go to a college, and a few more will follow as August comes to a close. It sucks, and I'll barely get to see them, but hey, c'est la vie.
The shit?!
